Terraria vs. Minecraft

Have you guys heard of Terraria? Some of you might be unfamiliar with it. Here is a short description of it from the website:

Grab your tools and go! You can do many things in Terraria: make weapons and fight off a variety of enemies in numerous biomes, dig deep underground to find accessories, money, and other useful things, gather wood, stone, ores, and other resources to create everything you need to make the world your own and defend it. Build a house, a fort, even a castle, and people will move in to live there and perhaps even sell you different wares to assist you on your journey. But beware, there are even more challenges awaiting you... Are you up to the task?  Source: http://www.terraria.org/

Many people have compared this game to Minecraft, saying that it is a copy of it. I'm here to tell you that it is not the same, at ALL! Sure, they might have similar elements like mining and building, but there are countless games with coinciding concepts. Other than that, they are two very different games.

I've been a fan of both Minecraft and Terraria for a long time, and here's what I have to say about them. Minecraft seems to be more builder-oriented, with things like redstone and switches to up your building experience. However, Terraria wins the prize when it comes to adventure and exploring. There are so many different biomes, monsters, and hidden treasures to find in this game. That's my short review of it, but you can read more about it here.

I say for anyone who is unfamiliar with Minecraft or Terraria (or both), give it a try! If you are still unsure, check out the many gameplay videos on YouTube. They'll give you an idea of what each game is like. For anyone who's played the games, what do you think? Which one's better in your opinion?

  4. Their bot similar and different, Terraria seems more focused and has things to go and achieve whereas Minecraft is a complete sandbox.

    Just my take on it.
